Unfortunately, I was too busy chatting and stuffing my face, so I didn't get any crowd shots of the opening :(

The show featured works from many ongoing projects including Tapestry cityscapes, Interfusion abstracts, my newer photographs of Gehry's Experience Music Project and other works as well.  I was especially happy to show three new abstracts photographed this fall on Lake Innisfree in Eastchester NY (shown below):

The "De Young Study" abstract shown center on the black panel sold, as did a larger version of the distant "Bermuda" abstract (to the right of the center black panel) and an order was made for "Fire on Water" (seen through the gap left of the blue one "Confluence").  I also sold a lovely version of "Of the Earth: Of flesh, clay and blood" and a print of "Still Searching".  I love sharing my work and am glad these works have found new happy owners. "150" on West Boston Post Rd. in Mamaroneck, NY. is a new home for my photography studio and will function as an art gallery for my own photography and, in time, for other artists as well.  I am happy to share the space with my friends at KTM Architect, Dawn Merkel Interior Design and MJS Contracting.  

This December from the 7th to the 15th I am exhibiting a collection of my own photographs that is representative of many of the aesthetic projects that I continue to develop and pursue, such as "Tapestry", "Interfusion", "Naturally Abstract" and "Victorian Mod".  A fuller explanation of those will be provided at the show.

This event runs from December 7th to the 15th.  Hours are 2-6pm on weekends and 11-2pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  A reception will be held the December 14th from 4-6pm.

]]> (Madden Studio: Photography by Brian Madden) abstract photography county gallery" new westchester westchester county photographer https://brianmadden.zenfolio.com/blog/2019/12/gallery-150-december-exhibit Thu, 05 Dec 2019 14:11:19 GMT Current Exhibit at Jazz Forum Arts in Tarrytown NY. https://brianmadden.zenfolio.com/blog/2018/11/current-exhibit-at-jazz-forum-arts-in-tarrytown-ny I am pleased to announce that a number of my photographs are currently on display at  Jazz Forum Arts in Tarrytown NY https://mailchi.mp/jazzforumarts/test-jazz-forum-gallery-reception-natural-built-seams-340505?e=58d80dbe03  An artists reception will be held November 13th from 6-8pm at 1 Dixon Lane in Tarrytown NY but you can view the work any weekend while enjoying some fantastic live music.  The venue is a perfect accompaniment for some of my most recent work that is based upon Frank Gehry's Experience Music Project.  Goethe once observed that architecture is "frozen music".  Gehry's work comes perhaps as close to the melting point as an architect could, and my photographs aim to explore the musicality of form and modulation of tone that is present in his sculptural architecture.

TenerezzaTenerezza  I entitled this photo "Tenerezza" as the there is a softness and tenderness in the flowing form suggestive perhaps of the feminine form.
